The Political Ideologies of the Alberta Nationals

The most disappointing aspects of the modern political landscape include the following:

1. The Conservative Party

Both federally and in Alberta, the Conservative Party no longer conserves anything. They promote the oil and gas industry better than the Liberals and NDP however they have managed to conserve nothing. They also typically support the interest of multi-national corporations and then call it ‘capitalism’. However multi-national corporations enjoy a favouritism and protectionism that give them advantages above and beyond what capitalism alone would grant them. Its crony corporatism disguised as capitalism and it’s giving capitalism a bad name.

Jason Kenny is a disgrace to Conservatives everywhere

Sadly, conservatives don’t even stand against Medical Apartheid and that should be an easy decision for any conservative.

2. The New Democratic Party

Both federally and provincially, the NDP no longer care about the average working person. Historically, the NDP did a decent job promoting the rights of workers from corporate exploitation and fostering a positive-collective mindset that was especially successful in Saskatchewan. However, today they no longer fight for the average worker and their party has devolved into the party of woke politics and pronouns.

The most powerful avenue necessary for a strong, sovereign independent Alberta, is the organization of three types of people (among others) who are currently being neglected by mainstream political parties. These are the types of individuals we are especially trying organize with, listen to and promote at Alberta Nationals.

Peoples Party supporters who are against Medical Apartheid and mandates of any and all kinds.

Former supporters of the NDP Party who are more representative of the working class; not the academic, intelligentsia pronoun crowd that often times prove liberalism is a mental illness. The types of individuals the NDP currently speak to remind me of the wealthy Democrats I rubbed shoulders with in the Bay Area, California working in the tech industry in my 20s. Historically, blue collar, trade workers, and farmers were the backbone of the NDP movement; these groups were less politically correct than even conservatives, and the current NDP no longer speak to the working Albertan and Canadian.

Disgruntled conservatives who understand that the modern conservative moment is an abysmal failure at actually conserving anything. Conservatives are effectively Liberals 10 years ago; thats all they’ve ever been.

I grew up in Saskatchewan where my grandfather was a strong supporter of individuals like Tommy Douglas, who represented a long-since-gone NDP Party that fought for the interests of people who were being abused by corporatism (not capitalism). I feel like this working class segment is becoming more and more alienated by the current NDP regime.

Tommy Douglas, in a time when it was less obvious the NDP was selling out to global interests

Albertans typically speak of the fear of splitting the vote and having the NDP win; which is obviously terrifying. To counter balance this we should draw on the NDP platforms of the past that did better to actually help the average Albertan and Canadian. The current NDP are a clown show backed by the same corporate interests as the Conservatives and Liberals; however its typically blue collar workers who are less politically correct, who are more ‘no-nonsense’, and who are not being spoken to by the current NDP regime.

The combination of Peoples Party supporters, disgruntled conservatives, and sensible hard working Canadians who understand that a dash of common sense collectivism can be a positive; represent an exciting opportunity for the Alberta separation movement and political ideologies in general. Onward!
